Let’s talk about Love.

To some, it feels like a summer breeze; to others, it feels like a storm. We often categorize ourselves as “good” or “bad” at it, yet we rarely stop to ask: What is love actually seeking within us? Why is the human soul so relentlessly programmed to hunt for it, dream of it, and mourn it?

In the study of the Soul, we recognize two distinct frequencies of love: the Mundane and the Altruistic. While the word “mundane” often suggests the boring or the routine, in Esoteric philosophy, it represents the Sacred Laboratory.

Mundane love is our “Soul-Schooling.” It is the love of the personality, the realm of attraction, attachment, and the mirrors of relationship. In this laboratory, we learn through experience. We collide with others to find out where we end and they begin. We gather the raw wisdom of heartbreak, compromise, and passion. Every “mundane” relationship – whether it lasts a lifetime or a lunch hour – is a necessary chisel, sculpting away the ego’s rough edges. You can’t reach the heights of the Divine without first walking the dusty path of the human.

But eventually, through the refinement of these experiences, we catch a glimpse of something far more potent: Altruistic Love.

This is Love in its highest, most crystalline form. It’s the frequency that the great mystic Teresa of Avila must have touched. When we look at the famous depictions of her in “Ecstasy,” we see a woman whose soul has been pierced by something beyond the physical. In that state of ecstasy, the boundaries of the “me” and the “you” vanish. This is not a love that “needs” or “takes”; it’s a love that simply is. It’s the ecstatic realization that there is no separation between the lover and the Beloved.

Esoteric wisdom teaches us that this state isn’t reserved for saints or mystics. It is our original nature. It’s the very fabric of our being that we have simply forgotten under the weight of our daily lives.

The journey of our lives is the process of moving from the “Love of the Self” to the “Love of the Soul.” We are learning to turn the lead of our personal desires into the gold of universal compassion.

You are invited to look at your relationships not as tests to pass or fail, but as opportunities for Internal Alchemy. Whether you’re in the peak of romance or the depth of solitude, remember: you’re not seeking something you lack. You are clearing the windows of your soul so that the same light that moved Teresa to ecstasy can finally shine through you.

Take a breath and feel that truth. You are the laboratory, the scientist, and the love itself.

Astrological Energy of the Week: September 6 – 12, 2026

This week, the cosmos invites us to move from the deep waters of our private emotions into the refined laboratory of our daily lives. From an Evolutionary and Esoteric perspective, we are transitioning from the “personality” needs of the ego into a state of “sacred service.” This week is about cleaning the windows of the soul so that the light of your higher purpose can shine through more clearly.

The Weekly Breakdown

Sunday, Sept 6 – Monday, Sept 7: From the Womb to the Stage

The week begins with the Moon in Cancer forming a supportive sextile to the Sun in Virgo and joining forces (conjunct) with Mars. By Monday, the Moon connects with Mercury and challenges (squaresVenus before moving into Leo. Once in Leo, it triggers a “cross-fire” with Chiron, Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus.

  • The Interpretation: Sunday is about “Emotional Bravery.” The Mars-Moon connection in Cancer gives you the courage to protect what you love, while the Sun in Virgo helps you do it practically. On Monday, as the Moon enters Leo and hits the “outer planets” (Pluto/Uranus/Neptune), your personal ego is being asked to align with a much larger, global purpose.
  • What to Expect: Sunday is high-energy for home projects or family matters. Monday may feel like an “emotional rollercoaster.” You might move from feeling very private and sensitive to feeling a sudden urge to be seen and heard. Watch for a brief tension between your personal desires and your relationships (Moon square Venus).

Tuesday, Sept 8 – Wednesday, Sept 9: Aligning with Destiny

On Tuesday, the Leo Moon stabilizes with Saturn and Jupiter. On Wednesday, the Moon faces off with the North Node (our collective path forward) and harmonizes with Venus before shifting into Virgo. Once in Virgo, it supports Chiron and challenges Uranus.

  • The Interpretation: This is the “Soul’s Adjustment” phase. The Moon’s interaction with the Nodes is a “check-in” from the universe: Are you acting for your own glory, or for the good of all? The shift into Virgo on Wednesday night prepares us for the work of the New Moon.
  • What to Expect: Tuesday is excellent for long-term planning and feeling a sense of “rightness” in your path. Wednesday might bring a “reality check” regarding your future goals. You may feel a pull to get organized and start healing old wounds (Moon trine Chiron).

Thursday, Sept 10: The Great Reset (New Moon in Virgo)

This is the most astrologically “busy” day of the week. Venus moves into Scorpio and opposes ChironMercury moves into Libra, and Uranus stations RetrogradeThe New Moon in Virgo occurs at 8:26 PM Pacific Time.

  • The Interpretation:
    • New Moon in Virgo: This is a “Seed Moment.” Virgo is the sign of the sacred craftsman. It’s time to set intentions for your health, your work, and how you show up for others.
    • Venus in Scorpio/Mercury in Libra: Our values become deeper and more investigative (Scorpio), while our communication seeks harmony and justice (Libra).
    • Uranus Retrograde: The “Planet of Revolution” turns inward, asking us to change our internal blueprints.
  • What to Expect: A day of significant “shifts.” You might feel a deep urge to purge what no longer serves you. Relationships may take a serious turn as we seek deeper truth. Set your intentions at 8:26 PM PT to anchor your “new life” goals.

Friday, Sept 11: The Bridge to Balance

The Moon moves into Libra, joining Mercury. Together, they support Pluto but face off with Neptune.

  • The Interpretation: Esoterically, Libra is the “Point of Equilibrium.” After the intense work of the Virgo New Moon, Friday is about finding mental balance. The connection to Pluto gives your words power, but the opposition to Neptune warns against falling into illusions or “wishful thinking.”
  • What to Expect: A great day for deep, transformative conversations. You have the power to speak your truth, but make sure you are staying grounded in reality rather than getting lost in a fantasy version of a situation.

Saturday, Sept 12: The Grand Air Trine & Mental Mastery

The week culminates in a Grand Air Trine—a harmonious triangle in the sky—between the Libra MoonUranus in Gemini, and Pluto in Aquarius. Additionally, the Moon opposes Saturn, supports Jupiter, and Mercury supports Pluto.

  • The Interpretation: This is a rare moment of “High Mental Clarity.” A Grand Trine in Air signs acts like a high-speed internet connection for the soul. It allows for breakthroughs in how we think and communicate. The Moon’s tension with Saturn provides the “discipline” to make these ideas real, while Jupiter provides the “optimism.”
  • What to Expect: Saturday is the highlight of the week for social connection and “Aha!” moments. You might finally solve a problem that has been plaguing you. Expect a feeling of liberation and a renewed ability to see the “Big Picture.”

Action Steps for the Week: September 6 – 12, 2026

As we navigate these shifting tides, the goal is to integrate these cosmic influences into your physical reality. Astrology is not just something that happens “to” us; it is a tool for conscious co-creation. Use the following steps to ground these high-vibrational energies into your daily life.

  1. Harness the Mars/Moon Courage (Sunday/Monday): Use the high energy early in the week to tackle a task you’ve been “emotionally” avoiding. Protect your peace by setting a clear boundary at home or with family.
  2. The New Moon Ritual (Thursday 8:26 PM PT): Write down five practical goals for the next six months. Because this is Virgo, make them specific. Instead of “I want to be healthy,” write “I will walk for 20 minutes five days a week.” This “Sacred Architecture” anchors your soul into the physical world.
  3. Deep Dive Relationships (Venus in Scorpio): With Venus entering Scorpio on Thursday, look past the surface of your connections. Have one “brave conversation” where you share a deep truth or a secret longing with a trusted partner.
  4. Capture the “Downloads” (Saturday): During the Grand Air Trine, keep a journal or voice memos handy. The ideas coming to you today are not random; they are “blueprints” for your future. Pay special attention to ideas involving technology, community, or new ways of communicating.
  5. Balance Ambition with Rest (Moon/Saturn/Jupiter): Saturday offers great expansion, but the opposition to Saturn reminds you not to over-promise. Say “Yes” to what expands your soul (Jupiter), but “No” to what drains your integrity (Saturn).

A Non-Astrologer’s Guide to the Terms Used:

  • Sextile/Trine: These are “harmonious” angles. Think of them as a green light or a smooth road.
  • Square/Opposition: These are “challenging” angles. Think of them as a yellow light or a “growth opportunity” that requires effort.
  • Conjunct: When two planets sit together, blending their energies into one powerful force.
  • Retrograde: When a planet appears to move backward, signaling a time for internal reflection rather than external action.
  • Grand Trine: A rare triangle of three planets that creates a powerful flow of energy – in this case, “Air” energy, which governs the mind and communication.
